PaintWorks Magazine For The Holidays

Right now is my favorite time of year and that means I'm preparing to make a few new holiday decorations for myself or even some gifts for holiday giving. It may be as little as an ornament or as big as a Santa wall hanging, but just like some of you, I need a little inspiration when my mind is completely out of ideas.

PaintWorks magazine has been one of my long time favorites for great painting patterns and instructions for all levels.  I was a painting instructor for many years and at times I would even teach a pattern or two from PaintWorks magazine.  Here's a cute painting of the "Santa and the Owl Bowl" by Prudy Vannier from the Winter issue.  Even the box is cute!  Be sure to check out their
free download projects too!

Don't forget to think outside the box!  If you are not a painter, many patterns can be adapted to applique, felt work, etc.  Even the painting vignettes in the magazines can give you some great ideas for your holiday decorating!
