Patriotic Postcards

Since I'm hosting my Patriotic Link Party I thought I would join in the fun and post along with the rest of you! Today I finished these fast and fun little postcards to send to my family and friends for the Fourth of July.

Recently I saved this vintage graphic from Karen at The Graphics Fairy and decided it would make the perfect postcard!  Using my printing program and some of it's graphics I was able to create this sweet holiday card.  I printed out my design on white card stock and also brown Kraft card stock sheets and I really like the way the brown paper adds to that vintage feel.

The picture below is the backside with the posting area and the address section. Of course when I send out my postcards the postage stamp will cover where I have added that cute July 4th graphic in the top right corner. But for now I thought it looked festive and it fills in the space where the stamp will go.

Now when the end of June rolls around all I need to do is fill them out, pick up some postcard stamps, and I'll be ready to send them on their merry way!

  10. Here's a post card to you today, Diane:

I cracked myself up again just now. I write email replies to the nice comments you leave me (you know how you receive notifications of them from blogger via email?) then I click "send" and realize your email address isn't linked to your profile and the email I just wrote goes to no-reply nowhere land. : (

So today, here's the email reply I just tried to send:

I was just over at your blog going pin crazy. I think I've pinned all your 4th of July decorations, and I pinned the party link again too. Maybe I'll pin it everyday. I just LOVE it! I can't wait to decorate my house this year. You've really inspired me.

Thanks for the birthday wishes to my daughter, too. I'll pass them on to her.

Your blog looks fantastic, by the way. I love the colors and energy and layout, and I have always thought the name and apple itself are
    so sweet and catchy.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend,

    Laurel

    1. OMG! I appologize! I didn't realize that the box was unchecked on my profile! Thanks for letting me know. I also enlarged the icons and moved them to a more visible location on the blog too.

Thank you for the sweet compliments about my blog! I'm also glad the patriotic party is inspiring you. I'll be looking forward to seeing your project soon!

    2. I've been collecting a bunch of stuff and can't wait for the 4th! You are a constant inspiration, and I just adore your blog. Please DON'T apologize for your email address, though! A ton of people don't link theirs because of the dreaded spam. It was definitely my mistake, not yours! (but it is super nice to be able to reply to you, now :)
